TDR has a “one team” culture with all professionals working together to originate and execute on the best opportunities for our strategy across Europe and then drive operationally-intense value creation plans. Our 29 professionals, around half of whom are senior professionals, have an average of over 18 years of relevant experience.
Manjit founded TDR Capital with Stephen Robertson in 2002, with whom he had previously worked at DB Capital Partners. He has over 25 years' experience in private equity, leveraged finance and consulting. Previously Manjit was Managing Director and Head of DB Capital Partners Europe and predecessor firm BT Capital Partners, which he joined in 1994.
He started his career in the Management Consultancy division of Arthur Andersen and moved into private equity in 1989 with 3i plc, and later with NM Rothschild. Manjit holds a Masters degree in Economics from Cambridge University.
Steve founded TDR Capital with Manjit Dale in 2002, with whom he had previously worked at DB Capital Partners. He has over 30 years of private equity, mezzanine and leveraged finance experience. Previously Steve was Managing Partner at DB Capital Partners, and also spent one year as Managing Director of European Leveraged Finance at Merrill Lynch and nine years as Managing Director of European Leveraged Finance at Bankers Trust.
During his tenure at Bankers Trust and Merrill Lynch, he raised over €5 billion in leveraged finance transactions. Steve holds a Masters degree in Economics from Aberdeen University.
Jon joined TDR Capital in November 2006. Prior to joining TDR, he was a Partner at Hampshire Equity Partners for nine years, where he was responsible for sourcing, executing and managing private equity and distressed debt investments. Previously Jon worked at BT Capital Partners with Manjit and Steve. He has over 20 years of private equity and principal investing experience.
Jon graduated from Duke University with a degree in Economics and Public Policy Studies.
Blair joined TDR Capital in April 2006. He is the General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer of TDR. Prior to joining TDR, Blair was a Partner at SJ Berwin LLP, focusing on private equity fund formation, venture capital investments, and mergers and acquisitions. Previously he worked as a corporate lawyer with Buddle Findlay.
Blair qualified as a lawyer in New Zealand in 1995. He has a Bachelor of Law, with honours, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
Brian joined TDR Capital in September 2012. Prior to joining TDR, he was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley where he was European Head of Morgan Stanley Private Equity, and formerly Head of UK Investment Banking. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2000 having previously worked in the Corporate Finance Division of Schroders, a company later acquired by Citigroup.
Brian graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Management Sciences and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse.
Thibaut joined TDR Capital in November 2009. Prior to joining TDR, he spent five years at Apax Partners, where he focused on leveraged buyouts in the media sector. Previously Thibaut worked at Goldman Sachs and Crescendo Ventures, in investment banking and venture capital.
Thibaut received an MBA from Harvard Business School, as a Baker Scholar, and an MEng in Aeronautical Engineering, with first class honours, from Imperial College.

Eleanor joined TDR Capital in November 2015. Prior to joining TDR, she worked for 13 years at PAI Partners, where she spent her first eight years working on the investment side both in Paris and London, and since 2010 worked in the Investor Relations team based in London. Eleanor started her career in the European Acquisition Finance Group at Bankers Trust/Deutsche Bank and worked as a consultant with Cambridge Economic Policy Associates, advising on private sector development projects in Africa.
She graduated from Cambridge University with a Bachelors Degree in Social and Political Sciences, with first class honours, and holds a Masters Degree in Economic History, with distinction, from the London School of Economics.
Mark joined TDR Capital in April 2005. Prior to joining TDR, he spent seven years at McKinsey & Company, primarily focused on the retail, consumer, industrial and private equity sectors. Mark started his career with UBS in 1997.
He received an MBA from Stanford Business School and a Masters degree in Mathematics, with first class honours, from Cambridge University.
Matt joined TDR Capital in November 2008. Prior to joining TDR, he worked at Och-Ziff Capital Management Group LLC in the special investments team. Previously Matt worked at Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc in the Leveraged Finance team.
He received a Masters degree in Modern History and Modern Languages from the University of Oxford.
Gary joined TDR Capital in June 2008. Prior to joining TDR, he worked in the Chemicals & Industrials investment banking teams at both Citi and Bear Stearns in London.
Gary received a Masters degree in Finance with distinction from the University of Strathclyde and a Masters degree in Chemistry, with first class honours, from the University of Edinburgh.

Julian joined TDR Capital in January 2004. Prior to joining TDR, he worked with Manjit and Stephen in an Operating Partner role at DB Capital Partners, having also briefly worked as an Operating Partner in the Nomura Principal Finance Group. Previously Julian spent over 13 years as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, the last seven as partner, supporting performance improvement programmes at several major clients across a range of industries, leading the UK Property & Casualty Insurance Practice and chairing the Worldwide Recruiting Leadership Group.
Julian started his career at Price Waterhouse, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant, and he has a Masters degree in Mathematics and Management from Cambridge University.

Eduardas joined TDR Capital in November 2016 to create and lead the Data Science team. Prior to joining TDR, he led the Analytics Capability at PwC Strategy&, consisting of 35 data scientist consultants. At PwC, Eduardas led data science projects to enable large corporate and private equity-backed companies to make better strategic and operating decisions. Prior to this, he worked at RBS's investment banking arm focusing on interest rate and FX derivatives and led a technology start-up in London.
Eduardas received an MSc in International Accounting and Finance with Distinction from Cass Business School and a BA in Integrated Social Sciences from Jacobs University.
Giles joined TDR Capital in July 2015. Prior to joining TDR, he worked for ten years at UK-based smoothie and juice producer Innocent Drinks, where most recently he was Managing Director - Europe, leading the business outside of the UK. He also served as Director and Head of Operations.
Previously Giles worked at Unilever Plc and Ford Motor Company. He received a MEng in Mechanical Engineering, with first class honours, from the University of Sheffield.
Steve joined TDR Capital in October 2010. Prior to joining TDR, he had gained 15 years’ experience in board level roles. Most recently Steve ran a private consulting business advising start-up and early stage growth companies, and was the founder and CEO of an entrepreneurial venture in the real estate and travel arena. Previously he served a number of senior roles at former DB Capital Partners portfolio company Rapala VMC Corporation, including Deputy Managing Director, COO and CFO.
Steve qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Price Waterhouse and received a BA in European Business Administration from Buckinghamshire College.
Steve joined TDR Capital in June 2004. Prior to joining TDR, he held senior positions as Managing Director Retail for Thresher Group with a new turnaround board under the private equity ownership of Terra Firma Capital Partners, as Operations Director for Signet plc, and as a consultant with McKinsey & Company. His previous experience enabled Steve to accumulate over 20 years in general management and management consulting roles.
Steve received an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and a BSc in Physical Education, Sports Science and Management from Loughborough University.
Jim joined TDR Capital in October 2010. Prior to joining TDR, he worked for seven years at US online grocer FreshDirect, where he was Senior Vice President overseeing human resources. He also served as Board Secretary and General Counsel and led the company’s B2B business, growing sales threefold in three years.
Previously Jim practised law at Hogan Lovells, was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, and worked at a venture-backed software firm. Jim received a BA in Philosophy from Yale University and has a Law degree from the University of Virginia.
Hassan joined TDR Capital in July 2014. Prior to joining TDR, he worked across a number of teams within the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley, most recently as an Associate in the Global Industries Group.
Hassan graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in Economics.
Anastasia joined TDR Capital in September 2014. Prior to joining TDR, she worked at Nomura as an Associate in the M&A Group in London. Anastasia started her career in AT Kearney in Moscow.
She received a Masters degree in Finance, with distinction, from Cass Business School and completed a course in Alternative Investments at the London School of Economics.
Marc joined TDR Capital in January 2012. Prior to joining TDR, he worked at Credit Suisse as an Associate in the Financial Sponsors Leveraged Finance team and as an Analyst in the Diversified Industries team.
Marc graduated with an MSc in General Engineering from Ecole Centrale, France.
Jonathan joined TDR Capital in May 2014. Prior to joining TDR, Jonathan worked at Barclays as a Vice President in the Mergers and Acquisitions team. Previously he worked at Citi in the Media and Telecoms team.
Jonathan graduated from Bristol University with a degree in Economics and Finance.
Grégoire joined TDR Capital in October 2015. Prior to joining TDR, he worked at Mount Kellett Capital Management and Providence Equity Partners. Previously Grégoire worked in Goldman Sachs’ investment banking division, in the Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) and France coverage teams in London and Paris, respectively. He started his career as a junior adviser for digital economy, telecommunications and energy at the Office of French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
Grégoire received a Masters degree in Management with a major in Finance from HEC Paris.
Jérémy joined TDR Capital in October 2015. Prior to joining TDR, he worked at Investcorp as a Vice President in its European Private Equity team and previously as an analyst at Rothschild in its Industrials and Business Services team.
Jérémy received a Masters of International Economics & Finance from The University of Queensland, Australia and an MSc in Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France.
Mark joined TDR Capital in September 2012. Prior to joining TDR, Mark worked at Morgan Stanley in London as an Associate in its Private Equity fund and previously as an Analyst in its UK Investment Banking team.
He received a degree in Business and Legal Studies, with first class honours, from University College Dublin.
Tim joined TDR Capital in March 2008. Prior to joining TDR, he worked at KPMG for six years in the Financial Services Tax department where he specialised in M&A Tax.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2007 and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. Tim graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in International Politics with French.
Diarmuid joined TDR Capital in January 2011. Prior to joining TDR, he was Managing Director of TDR portfolio company Phoenix Group’s Corporate Office, having joined in 2008. Previously Diarmuid was a Partner at the London office of MidOcean Partners and its predecessor, DB Capital Partners, where he served as the European Chief Operating Officer and as Chief Operating Officer of Morgan Grenfell Private Equity.
Diarmuid is a qualified Chartered Secretary of the UK Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators and a member of the UK Securities Institute. He studied Political Science at Arizona State University.
Diarmuid is currently acting as Chief Executive Officer of Algeco Scotsman, a portfolio company of TDR Capital II.
Emma joined TDR Capital in August 2015 as Legal Counsel. Prior to joining TDR, she trained and worked as a Corporate lawyer at Reed Smith LLP, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and private equity.
Emma qualified as a lawyer in 2012. She has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sheffield and completed the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School.

Jurate joined TDR Capital in June 2016. Prior to joining TDR, she spent two years at Providence Equity Partners as a Senior Associate focusing on investor relations and fundraising activities in Europe and the Middle East. Jurate started her career at KPMG, where she spent four years primarily in the Private Equity Group focusing on financial due diligence for private equity clients.
Jurate qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2013 and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. She graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics and Management and also holds a Masters of Science degree in International Business from HEC Business School in Paris.
Tom joined TDR Capital in March 2007. Prior to joining TDR, he worked as an Audit Senior in a private accountancy practice, which he joined in 2003.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2006 and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. Tom graduated from the University of London with a degree in Mathematics with Business Management.
Alana joined TDR Capital in July 2011. Prior to joining TDR, she spent three years in the Audit and Assurance department of a private accountancy practice.
She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2011 and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. Alana graduated from the University of Warwick with a degree in Sociology.
