Transaction

We acquired Algeco in 2004, attracted to the strong return on capital characteristics of the core leasing business and the opportunity to consolidate a fragmented European market. Through a series of acquisitions, we grew Algeco from being the French market leader to the European champion. In 2020 the company was rebranded Modulaire Group.

Since TDR’s investment

  • We repositioned the business away from manufacturing and sales towards a more sustainable and profitable rental model. In parallel, we refocused the company’s sales and marketing efforts, as well as developing new sectors and new applications for modular solutions
  • We grew the business across Europe through acquisition and  developed it organically, in particular through the introduction of value-added products and services
  • In December 2021, after a competitive sale process we sold Modulaire to Brookfield Business Partners
